EV Charging Stations in Brisbane

Public EV chargers in Brisbane can be found throughout the city in many shopping centres, supermarkets, hotels, car parks and petrol stations.

Queensland has a number of initiatives in place to reach zero emissions by 2050¹. To support this goal, they have released “Queensland’s Zero Emission Vehicle Strategy 2022–2032” which includes funding to support the use of electric vehicles. The Electric Vehicle Council counted 27 Queensland sites with a DC fast charger in July 2019², rising to 235 high-power sites (24 kW DC and above) by mid-2025³. The chart and table below track each annual report. No official body publishes a Brisbane-only count by year, so the state series is the best available measure of local growth.
