Public EV chargers in Queensland can be found in many shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels, car parks and petrol stations.

Growth of EV chargers in QLD

Queensland’s Zero Emission Vehicle Strategy 2022–2032 includes funding and plans to support the use of electric vehicles6. To help encourage the use of EVs, the number of publicly available charging stations has been steadily increasing each year. The Electric Vehicle Council counted 27 public fast-charging locations in Queensland in July 20197 and 235 by mid-20258, with the chart below showing each annual snapshot.
