Growth of EV charging stations in Sydney
The NSW government plans to make NSW Australia’s most electric vehicle (EV)-friendly state. The government has invested $149 million to develop a world-class charging network across the state5. The goal is to have at least four fast or ultra-fast chargers per station every 5 km in metropolitan areas and at 100 km intervals across all major NSW highways5. As a result, the number of EV charging stations in Sydney and NSW is steadily increasing.
