EV Charging Stations in Perth

Public EV chargers in Perth are located throughout the city in many shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels, car parks and petrol stations.

The WA EV Network, completed in January 2025, provides 110 charging points across 49 locations² connecting Perth and regional WA, more than the 98 chargers originally planned³. As a result of this and other factors, the number of charging stations in Perth and WA is steadily increasing. Demand is rising with it: WA had 63,241 light EVs licensed as at the June 2026 quarter (48,109 battery electric and 15,132 plug-in hybrid), with EV licences growing 19.9% in that quarter alone⁴. Within Perth, growth is now fastest in the north-eastern and eastern corridors: the Ellenbrook and Swan Valley postcodes (6069 and 6055) recorded the highest quarterly growth among the major metropolitan EV markets, at 25.5% and 26.4%, while the Cockburn and Wanneroo postcodes still hold the most licensed EVs.
