Growth of EV Chargers in Victoria
Victoria aims to reach net-zero emissions by 2045. Part of the support for this plan includes subsidies for EVs and an increase in infrastructure to support the transition. As a result of this and other initiatives, the number of publicly available charging stations is increasing each year. Nationally, Australia's public charging network grew from around 8,910 charging points in 2024 to roughly 11,100 in 20252, while EV sales rose from about 98,000 in 20233 to about 157,000 in 20254.
